Clinics & Services

Our practice implements policies and procedures that prioritise care of the highest level for our patients. We offer a range of services, including health clinics, immunisations, maternity clinics, and family planning services, each tailored to cater to the unique requirements of our patients.

All of our services are conducted in a secure, courteous, and confidential environment. We strive to provide our patients with up-to-date information and resources to enable them to make informed decisions about their care.

Moreover, we provide education and support to assist our patients in making informed decisions about their health and well-being. Our practice is dedicated to delivering the highest quality of care, and we take pride in our unwavering commitment to providing the best possible care to our patients.

Immunisation

Weekly clinics are held for our nurses to administer childhood immunisations, while the doctor performs development assessments with the health visitor present.

The health visitors offer guidance on healthcare, especially for expectant mothers, infants, young children, the elderly, and those with disabilities.

Maternity

We provide comprehensive maternity care, which includes both antenatal and postnatal services. Our team of midwives offers continuous guidance and support throughout the pregnancy journey, and they will provide care for both the mother and baby in the comfort of their own home during the postnatal period.

Minor Surgery

We offer a minor surgery service here for the removal of certain lumps and moles as well as some joint injections. Please be aware that we do not provide this service for cosmetic reasons.

You cannot book a minor surgery procedure without being seen first. Please make an appointment with a doctor to discuss the problem.

If appropriate they will recommend that you are placed on the waiting list and you will subsequently be contacted when a clinic is available.

Family Planning

Our patients have access to a range of contraceptive services that includes Nexplanon. It may be necessary to schedule special appointments, so kindly speak with our receptionist for further information.

Cervical Smears

We highly recommend that all women undergo regular smear tests, which will be conducted by a practice nurse. It is advised that women have this test every three years, and Cervical Screening Wales automatically sends appointment reminders to those who are due for a smear.

Chronic Disease Management

We organise clinics that provide guidance on managing asthma, heart disease, diabetes, and hypertension. Patients are welcome to attend these clinics to undergo assessments, plan treatment regimes, receive support, and obtain education on their condition.

Influenza Vaccination

Every autumn, we implement an influenza vaccination program to make certain that all patients who are considered ‘at risk’ receive the necessary immunizations.
