Dr Brzezinska (known as Dr Beata) originally joined the practice as a salaried doctor and became a partner in June 2005. Polish born, Dr Beata studied at the Medical University of Lodz, Poland and completed her General Practitioner training in Britain in August 2003 after many years' experience in this country. Married with two children, Dr Beata has a particular interest in diabetes and cardiovascular diseases.

A local resident of Llanelli, Dr Devonald joined the Practice in July 2013. Dr Devonald underwent her training at The University of Wales College of Medicine, Cardiff and has worked for a number of years as a salaried GP and as a locum across Carmarthenshire and Pembrokeshire. Dr Devonald has experience in hospital based general medicine and also has an interest in women's sexual health together with a broad range of Enhanced Services.

Dr Sykes joined Llwynhendy Health Centre in April 2015 after working for a number of years as a partner and locum across the Carmarthenshire and Swansea areas, with a special interest in Diabetes Dr Sykes also takes a clinical lead in the development of Asthma and COPD at the practice. Dr Sykes has extensive experience in treating patients with addiction problems.

Dr Mark Darbyshire is a full-time GP, who joined the Practice in June 2016.  He has a special interest in Minor Surgery Dermatology and Diabetes management and also has experience in teaching and mentoring medical students and trainee doctors. He is a tutor for Primary Care at Cardiff and Swansea medical schools and is BASICs trained for managing acutely unwell and injured patients in the Primary Care setting. Dr Darbyshire takes the lead at the Practice for anticoagulation monitoring.

MRCGP, D.C.H, D.F.F.P., MRCS (ED) Surgery

Working as a Salaried GP at Llwynhendy Health Centre Dr Anantharaj joined us in  July 2018. He had previously worked as a GP in the  Swansea area between 2011 and 2017 and is a highly experienced GP with a special interest in Minor Surgery.

We have a team of highly trained specialist nurses, each with a clinical lead in a Chronic Disease or specialist area. Fully trained in Asthma, COPD, Diabetes, Cardiac Care and specialised Sexual Health services the team also deal routinely with a broad area of Minor Illness. They also provide services to patients daily within our treatment rooms for dressing, wound, injections and other routine care.

Our practice management team are generally available during normal office hours. The team is responsible for the day-to-day running of the practice. Do not hesitate to contact any member of the team if you have any matter that you wish brought to the attention of the practice. The practice is happy to hear your views and suggestions about the service offered by the practice.

They are responsible for all correspondence, liaising between doctors, patients and other outside agencies.

Non Lewis is the Clinical Pharmacist Prescribing Lead at Llwynhendy Health Centre in Llanelli.  Non qualified as a Pharmacist in 2003 (Cardiff University / Singleton Hospital, Swansea) and has worked for NHS Wales as a GP Practice Pharmacist since 2007.  Prior to her current role, Non has worked in multiple GP Surgeries across Powys, Cwm Taf, and Abertawe Bro Morgannwg Health Boards and most recently as Cluster Pharmacist for 2Ts Cluster, Carmarthenshire.   In 2017 Non completed the Cardiff University Postgraduate Diploma in Therapeutics and gained the highest mark in her year.  At Llwynhendy Health Centre, Non works as part of a multi-disciplinary clinical team in a modern GP Practice.   Non lives in Llandeilo with her husband and 2 young children.

A health visitor is a registered nurse who has received training particularly related to babies, children and pregnant women. Their role is to provide families with children under five years old with support and advice around the general aspects of mental, physical and social wellbeing.
